The Fourth | Covent Garden with Estee

$

For the last two years during December, I took part in the youtube vlogging phenomenon (I love watching them myself) named 'Vlogmas' I filmed everyday during december until christmas and it was fun but at the same time of course, quite hard work!

This year I have decided to have a little more time to myself to enjoy christmas time a little more personally and for some other reasons too but I just can't break myself away from sharing little bits and bobs of what I like to do around christmas time so I thought why not take photos instead.

I'm starting here on the 4th December, It might not be every single day but I'm going to try to photograph each day even if its a usual type of blog post sometimes with a little more detail on what I done - Lets keep it nice and casual!
Today I hopped on the train to west-end where I went to meet up with one of my favourite youtubers Estee from EssieButton (She's also an amazing blogger!)

!

Aren't Estee's nails cute?! She has inspired me to start using some sparkles too
She said its a mix of Maybelline & BarryM (Knitted gold & Lychee to be exact)

We went to this super-cute Jewish Deli type place in Covent garden named Mishkins and had half a Rueben sandwich each, along with a jug of cloudy lemonade. We nattered about all types of things, took photos, filmed (She's doing vlogmas this year!) and afterwards we checked out a cute sweet shop nearby and then headed to the Dior pop-up shop.

It was such a lovely afternoon, I ended up purchasing some bits from Dior, Whoops! I think Estee has started my Dior makeup addiction! I'll share what I picked up on the blog soon if you guys would like.

Please let me know what you think of my december-blogging idea, let me know if you would like to see more and even better - what exactly you would like to see, like on some days focusing on certain things?

I'm knackered now and I'm about to hit the hay, see you guys tomorrow!

The Fifth | Food for thought

Thank you guys for all of your feedback on my last post =] From what everyone wrote I saw that quite a few of you are interested to see more details about what I eat on a daily basis so today I focused on that.

I started the day with my usual granola, This time with Soy milk, banana, the rest of a fruit-snack pot I had from the day before, Chia seeds, flaxseed, cocoa nibs, flaked almonds and a dash of cinnamon. *Catches breath*

Today I went into town to run some errands and grab a coffee with my sister, we usually love to go and get coffee but aren't too keen on coffee shop food as its usually packed with calories - so I opted for a Pret salad and my sister got a salad from M&S for lunch and we headed over to Starbucks (she prefers Starbucks, I Costa)

Coat - Thrifted | Super cosy lining leggings - Primark | Bag - Zara | Cardi - Urban Outfitters

This vibrant gentleman was bellowing throughout the town with festive cheer and commands about something that I couldn't quite catch but it was quite a sight

For dinner I wanted something quite light, I wasn't that hungry. I picked up a soup from M&S (this one is amazing) The spicy lentil soup - I usually have soup with wholemeal bread or crackers and today there were some Rye crackers hanging around so I spread some peanut butter on them (Not sure why, just obsessed with the stuff) and had them on the side for dipping.

Im always open to ideas on what you guys would like me to focus on during the month! Hope you liked this one.

The Sixth | A little trip to LUSH

It had been quite a while since I had ventured into a good old LUSH store. You know, the ones you smell from two roads, down the alley and round the corner away - but is lovely all the same.
I usually have quite a nice experience in store and end up chinwagging with the staff about this and that, unless they get a little pushy and then I usually head out of the store sharpish. This was one of the pleasant times!

I head inside looking for one of their fresh face masks, I usually get on quite well with them and my skin has been troublesome recently, along with the sudden appearance of dry patches so I explained this all to the sales assistant and she suggested 'Rudolph' or  'The sacred truth', I went for the latter.

The Sacred Truth | 9 to 5 Cleansing lotion | Snow Fairy Shower Gel | Mask of Magnaminty | Bombardino Bath bomb

Its like Primark, you go in for one thing and come out with about half a dozen, Its like a whimsical sweet shop - I can't help myself! I picked up these bits to try out.

I'm no newbie to Snow fairy, I was just excited to see it in stores again and Mask of magnaminty was a re-purchase. I'm excited to try out the 9 to 5 cleanser especially, Let me know of any of you have tried it and what you think?

I have been frozen all day - I can't believe how cold its getting! Picking up a few cute things though does make you feel better, especially if you've been feeling a little sorry for yourself recently or haven't bought anything pamper-y in a while! Lush is a little bit of an addiction, I've been a fan of it since my first trip to the covent garden store to check out their bath bombs when I was about 15 & its a place I always venture back to.

I'm about to go and eat dinner now, I am starving I have been surviving most of the day on coffee and hot drinks! I hope you guys liked this and let me know what your favourite items from Lush are (And what you've found disappointing, thats always interesting!)

The Seventh | The Eton Stroll

Todays post is of my afternoon with my most loveliest boyfriend Jason, As usual a lot of the focus is on food - I think its the time of year, its food time!
It was another chilly day but it was actually quite nice for a winters stroll - as long as you're wrapped up warm. By the time we got out it was about 4pm & we decided to take a stroll down Eton high street to grab a coffee and then to have a bite to eat.

We passed a girl who was playing the harp on the Eton bridge, it was so beautiful, we got her card too so that we could share her music online and like her Facebook page so when I get that all together i'll add it here too so you guys could listen too if you'd like.

We went into one of the old-school style sweet shops and I was eyeing up the Bertie botts every flavour beans, so Jason bought them for me knowing of my love of Harry Potter ^.^ (Which we share!)
I've had a few while writing this actually, One was 'dirt' though - it has to be expected!

We decided on Moroccan for dinner and head to Ayoush, I had the Kofta tagine (Which was delicious) and I think he had the Lamb cube skewers.
We had grilled Halloumi cheese and cous cous on the side, we'd never been there before so weren't sure what exactly to expect but I thought it was really lovely and the staff were very friendly too.
(Now I'm having flashbacks of that halloumi…mmm)

It was a lovely calm and quite festive evening, I'm sure we'll do a few more posts of our time together while I'm doing this blogging during december - Jason is great with photography and took some of these photos too, its quite fun both experimenting with shots and seeing what you can get out of it!

Are there any restaurants you'd recommend us to go to? I'd love to do more foodie types of posts, I know its not beauty and fashion related but its always been a love of mine and I love sharing lifestyle too - Maybe i'll even do a blog just for food who knows!

The Eighth | A Dabble in Dior

Remember in my first Blogmas I said I picked up a few bits from Dior while I was with the lovely Estee? I thought I would share what those bits were.

I was given these two samples too from the lovely lady who was helping us, so they'll be fun to try out - I am already interested in the Diorshow mascara so it will be interesting to try this baby out for size before I go for the Diorshow.

In the second picture is a lipgloss of theirs which I loved the packaging of when I was in store but when I got home I thought it was a little too light in colour for me so I actually exchanged it for this alluring red named 'Marilyn' from their Diorific line, its a pinky/plum based red and it caught by eye immediately. The tone works well with my complexion and would for many others too.

Out of everything I think I am most excited to use this Creme de Rose lip balm, I had firstly seen it on Ingrid from Missglamorazzi's channel and then I also saw Estee talk about it online so I finally picked it up - I expect big things! Even if its not 100% what I think, the packaging is adorable and i'll be proud to pull it out of my bag!

I know these bits are quite excessive on the price side for makeup but I hardly ever buy makeup as high-end as this and I felt like treating myself a little bit, They are like little treasures and were too pretty to pass by!

I've been reminded why it can sometimes be such fun being a girl ^.^

Due to the chilly weather recently i've been living in my Serena Doc martens, I would have defiantly paired this outfit with some black boots but I've been away from home for a few weeks at my parents house for personal reasons and so piecing outfits together has been somewhat tricky as I only have certain things with me.

I recently picked up these high waisted jeans from Topshop, they're the 'Joni's' which I have in black and grey also, They're so comfy and flattering (in my opinion) and this jumper came in the post the other day and I thought I could actually piece something together with my docs this time!

Coat - Topshop | Jumper - River Island | Jeans - Topshop | Black Converse

The photos were taken by my sister Danny and I loved her outfit today so asked if I could photograph her too, she has a youtube channel if you guys wanted to check her out online :)
We head back home shortly after these snaps and I just took a few more of the nearby shops on the way, I'm itching to go into The crooked house, maybe if I do soon i'll blog about it? I want to have tea and scones there it looks terribly cute!

The Tenth | Christmas gift ideas for Him

As I write this I am sat under a blanket on the sofa with 'Arthur Christmas' on the telly, feeling festive!
I love having a look at gift guide posts and so I thought id share with my two cents with a few ideas for the man in your life if you are a little stuck on what to give them or what to stick in their stocking.

Ron Burgandy 'Let me off at the top' £8.00 - If your man is a fan of Anchorman (who isn't?) Then this book might just be a winner - I actually want to get my hands on it too! It would be a great stocking filler, If you can get it to fit.

Retro hot air popcorn maker £65.95 - Many men love a good movie to sit down to, just like us girls do and this is a great alternative to the more cutsey kitchen bits that us girls lust over - Its a unisex number, it would look awesome in the kitchen and best of all it creates food…food! That you can snack on aswell as him.

Dior HOMME£45.50 - I had a whiff of this the other day and it has to be one of the nicest mens fragrances I've smelt, I know everyone is different but maybe give it a smell too when you're in store. It comprises of the energetic freshness of sicilian lemon, the woody scent of cedar & the powdery signature of tuscan iris. Its magical.

iPad Air from £399 - Obviously higher up price wise and a little less inventive perhaps but iPads are quite an all-rounder. I'm forever on my own one and while they're not a necessity by any means if you can dig a little deeper into your pocket and know this would be up your guys street it would go down a treat! Super handy for emails, browsing the web, going on apps, social media and just plain having fun!

Fair isle knit slippers£20.00 - Slippers! Cant go wrong with slippers - wither its for your boyfriend, dad, granddad or a family friend, everyone wants to keep warm this time of year and these ones look a treat for the feet.

KIEHL'S Facial Fuel£21.00 - If your guy secretly likes a little bit of pampering (many men say they don't but….they do) and hasn't had a little tube of daily luxury before like us girls tend to do with skincare then this would be a fab present or stocking filler!

ASOS 100% British Wool Cable scarf £25.00 - Everyone needs a cosy scarf, if you've noticed he hasn't been throwing one on recently (or ever) then this would be a stylish and practical gift for your guy.

CARVED Wooden Phone case $24.00 - I stumbled across this website, they carve custom wooden phone cases and also have a ready selection to choose from. I especially think the Aztec one is awesome but there are tons on there.

Mrs. Bow Tie£22.00 - How adorable are these?! If your guy its more on the smart side I'm sure they would love a festive bow tie (they do all types, plain/patterned) This would be another present great on its own OR as a stocking filler. Cute packaging and also great quality - Something they could keep forever too.

Vintage renewal Leather Wallet£20.00 - Another practical but good-looking gift, Its one of those items you are always well aware that you need a new one of but You can't bring yourself to go out and search for one. Man are notoriously lazy at shopping so this one is covered for them.

Russian Criminal Tattoo book£18.95 - Is he a tattoo lover? Then not much else even needs to be said, this would make a great stocking filler. (Again, I want this for myself too!)

Reeses Peanut butter cups£4.49 - I couldn't complete this post without a food item, obviously. Chocolate…peanut butter, whats not to like? These are dangerously addictive because they are the best thing since sliced bread and if your guy dosent end up liking them, more for you! 'Oops'

I hope a few of these ideas could be helpful, I'm not the best at getting presents but if we all chip-in with ideas then it makes it a lot easier right?

I can do a girl gift-guide too if you guys would like? Share your male gift ideas too down below i'm sure it will help everyone out =] Not long left now!

The Eleventh | Christmas on Oxford Street

Today I was on Oxford street, I was only there briefly but while there I thought, why not share oxford street at christmas time, especially for those who don't often come to London or who have never been. Its even prettier at night I can assure you but here are some things that caught my eye today.

Walking down towards bond street station there was a gust of 'snow' in the air, everyone was trying to figure out where it came from and lots of people were taking pictures. 'Boots' were blasting out snow from above the building which made it feel extra christmassy.

I daren't pick one of these up as they look a little too sweet for me (shock, horror) but I thought they were too pretty not to snap - Of course not without the lady behind the stand giving me some super weird looks haha.

Nutella crepe...I cannot wait to pick up one of these when I get to Winter Wonderland soon! I'm also visualising those caramel cashew nuts now…oh my.

Im a big lover of the winter pastels, I thought this Dorothy Perkins display was very pretty and festive.

A little insight into my day, I hope you enjoyed this post even though I didn't manage to get my outfit in, I just love taking photos everywhere I go and I always hope you guys like the outcome!

I have got a few fun things planned for before and after christmas so I'm really excited to keep sharing this month! By the way if you guys know of any cool goings-on in London do let me know, I'd love to visit somewhere festive and quite unique!

The Twelfth | In Vintage Pink

I was browsing the aisles of super drug the other day and I stopped at the Rimmel stand, I remembered I wanted a new 'Spotlight beige' lipstick so searched but it was nowhere to be found however I got distracted by this little number, Vintage pink.
I swatched it in store and liked the look of it, a subtle purplish pink colour and very moisturing on the lips (hence being part of the Moisture renew line) So I brought it back home with me and this is how it looks - along with the rest of my face.
(It has worn off a teeny bit in these first photos and looks a little stronger when first applied)

Ive also lightened my hair again, Do you like? I like it :)

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Syracuse | MAC Studio finish concealer | MAC Studio Fix Powder
Sleek brow kit in medium | Loreal Super liner | Max Factor False lash effect
Rimmel Vintage Pink

This has been my recent look, I know - Really adventurous! I rarely change my daily makeup because i've found what I like and feel it works for me but I'm forever trying out new lipsticks and when I have lighter hair I like to dabble in a cheeky pink or two.
Now I have a new 'chuck in the bag and go' lipstick for when I am in more or a purple mood, also when I feel like I need a little tint and moisture to my lips I can just dab it on lightly - Splendid!

The Thirteenth | Puffy Mince Pies

I have recently been extremely inspired, I found myself on The Londoner's blog the other week through a tweet by Tara, (thanks Tara!) it was a post on avocado cookies and of course, I had to try it for myself, They came out amazingly and i've been a Rosie-fan since!
I then stumbled across a recipe on puff-pastry mince pies and thought I would absolutely love to try it out, so I did!

I filmed my FIRST go making these (I had never made pasty from scratch before either) for my Youtube channel and tried them for the first time on camera - AMAZING!
I'm not the actually greatest fan of normal mince pies, they can be very dry and feel very heavy to eat but these babies are light, fluffy, buttery and full of flavour. You don't feel really guilty after eating them either - well, I don't!
If you were a mince pie sceptic like I was, try these - I was pleasantly surprised!

(Just realised I look a tiny bit deranged here, it seems baking-excitement had gotten to me!)
Thank you very much Rosie for sharing your special recipe and I hope you guys like my video making the mince pies too :)

Apologies for missing a few days!
This weekend was a hectic one but I did manage to film so if you want to see what I was up to you can check it out on my vlog channel.
I wanted to introduce to you our little puppy, Captain Riley.

Jason and I have had him for around 5 weeks and in that time he's actually grown quite quickly! He's been keeping me on my feet thats for sure but he is well worth it and I love him with all my heart!

Riley is 16 weeks old and is a French Bulldog (frenchie) - His mum is brindle pied and his dad is blue.
He likes chewing, giving kisses, attempting to chase seagulls and is partial to the odd sock. (causing most of my socks now…to be odd)

All jokes aside Riley is a new member of the family and is extremely loved by us, he has such a gorgeous temperament, he's very friendly, he loves to play but he also loves to have cuddles.
So far i've taught him to sit, stay, wait for his food and to give me his paw - I'm toilet training him at the moment which is going quite well too - He's a smart boy!

I've even gone and made him his own instagram account

@CPTRILEY

You guys can follow him there if you like, for Captain Riley updates! He's also introduced in the vlog I'm putting up from this weekend so if you want to see him in action you can do so too!

Today was a gift-hunting day, My sister and I ventured to a nearby town to pick up a few bits and to look for some presents we've been wanting to get for the family.

As you can see we made a pit-stop at Nandos - I used to go to Nandos a lot more than I do now, (What did you eat as a veggie I hear you ask? The beanie pitta, mmm!)
I like going there every now and then now, when the mood strikes, Its major comfort food or at least thats what I think - We usually get olives while we're waiting and we actually eat the garlic too (thats what you see above on sticks)
Today I got butterfly chicken with a side of avocado & a diet coke and my sister had the beanie pitta with coleslaw and coke.

Coat - Topshop | Top - ASOS | Tights - Primark | White Converse | Bag - H&M

The town had a few 'German market stalls', I eyed up the hot dogs but didn't grab one as we'd just eaten! We then went on the hunt for the rest of our bits.

& of course grabbed a coffee for the journey back! (also got temped by cookies)

When I got back home I was greeted by this little parcel, it was the cutest! A christmas parcel from Regal rose - Thank you so much! I wanted to share it with you guys too as it looks adorable and how perfect is this christmassy 'S'?! Cant wait to wear these pieces.

Still have presents to get though! For me its near impossible to just get it all done in one! Am I the only one?

The Eighteenth | Early Soho Stroll

This morning I trotted up to Soho for a meeting, it was quite early, before the hustle & bustle of weekday christmas shoppers and tourists from around the world snapping away at the festive streets. I love being in central London early at any time of the year because it has a strange but short-lived calmness to it. You can soak in the beautiful architecture, the history and people around you more than usual, just before it can become a little more stressful.

I am a coffee fanatic, though oddly enough I don't usually like having coffee early in the morning. I hadn't had breakfast (& i'm a massive breakfast person) so was itching to get my hands on something light and nutritious. I stumbled across Pure and found that they make fresh juices, salads, sandwiches, lots of things but I opted for the 'AGC' (Apple, ginger & carrot) Juice which was both vibrant & delicious.

Nails are Essie - Wicked | Ring finger - Regal Rose* | Middle finger black stone ring - Regal rose* | Index finger - Shop dixi*

Today I was gifted with these handmade silver band rings (Top of my middle ringer) by a lovely girl named Stacey, she made them herself and I am so happy to have them as they are exactly my style and it helps build on my silver ring collection - I'm obsessed with them! They are adjustable too and can be opened up or closed tighter at the back. She stacked one on top of the other and said how she thought they look nice worn that way and I agreed!

Stacey works at The Great Frog, the best silver jewellery store I have come across in London, for me anyway because its exactly my style and I recommend it to anyone else who also likes hand-crafted, rocker/biker, skull sculpted jewellery - I could do a whole post about them, I'll stop here for now!

I went back over my pictures from the morning and thought, is there enough here for my post? I wasn't sure if it was enough to share but this is what I got up to this morning so I hope its of some interest, another peek at the streets of London at christmas time!

The Nineteenth | Yana's Hair Sanctuary

I'm not doing so well recently with blogmas being everyday, I hope you don't mind! I'm currently out of town with my sister for her birthday weekend and am sat on the hotel bed before we head into town but I wanted to make sure I share with you what I done on thursday - Got my hair done!

I always go to Yana's hair sanctuary in Ruislip, I've been going there since I was about 14, They are so friendly, welcoming and professional with everything that they do. I used to go for treatments for my hair but nowadays its more-so to get my hair installed. I get a full head of weave and I leave out my edges all around. I have a video talking about everything I do to my hair so if you wanted more info just click here.

The hair I use is the Mongolian tight curly hair, lengths 16/18/20 (depends how I feel) from Dollhaircollection, I've been using this hair for over a year now and its the best hair i've tried! Its virgin hair and is easy to dye, it stays very soft and is lovely to work with and style.

My hairdressers name is Nana and we always have a good old chin-wag about everything, how we've been getting on and having a good laugh, She's so lovely and is amazing at what she does.
She works in a way that makes you feel very comfortable with how your hair will turn out but she always gives honest advice on the hair if she feels it might not work out exactly how you want it. We have it down now and I tend to get the same style which she does amazingly!

I recently upgraded my phone to the iPhone 5S and am absolutely loving it! Its so pretty, I went for the white and gold

Before we tamed the frizz!

The finished result - Thank you to the lovely ladies at Yana's once again, Oh I forgot to add, they do the best biscuits ever!

I hope you all had an amazing christmas and a happy new year!
I am a little behind on sharing with you guys what i've been up to but I've taken tons of snaps over the last two weeks and wanted to still share them =]
It was my sister Danni's birthday on Christmas day and so the weekend before christmas we went to Cardiff to celebrate!

Coat - Topshop | Top - Bershka | White Converse | Bag - eBay

They had quite a few christmas stalls there and it gave the town such a lovely festive feel, filling the air with sweet & savoury scents and smoke.

I have to say Cardiff is one of the BEST towns i've ever been to for shopping and restaurants, they have everything there!
We went out for two nights and were lucky enough to be sporting some gorgeous Missguided dresses for partying.

You can find them on the Missguided website - http://www.missguided.co.uk/

I'm wearing the Litara slinky wrap mini dress* | Heels - Office

Danni wears the Aquilia Lace Detail Chiffon Skater Dress* | Heels - River Island

Day 2

We rolled out of bed in the late morning and head into town, I met some lovely subscribers/readers including Rebecca who actually had a little gift for me of t-shirts that she makes! I'm hoping to get a separate post up about what she gave me and more info but I did snap the t-shirts that evening which you can see down below. Thank you rebecca!

At around 5pm we had run out of all shopping-energy

We went to get ready for the second night after Danni picked up this number because she had a dress emergency!

I wear the Azira Halterneck skater dress*

Danni's playsuit is from Oh my love in Topshop

It was such a great time, it was a little hectic but we shopped, dined, partied and had a great laugh - perfect girl time! It was also so nice meeting some people who watch me while I was there, I also have to say people in cardiff are so friendly!
I would defiantly go back and I have to reiterate, if you like a good shop, and I'm guessing you do - Definatly visit Cardiff!

Christmas Eve Photo Diary

I know this is rather late to post, but here is mine and Jasons christmas eve by pictures - We woke up and he made me this AMAZING bacon & avocado ciabatta (my first bacon sandwich ever)
Then we head to central London to pick up some last minute bits, soak in the sights and most importantly, do a lot of eating!

We came across Jamie's takeout and we were hankering for some warm and fast-ish food so grabbed a hot dog each, Jason said it was one of the best he had ever had! his was with bacon and mine was with sweet onions and the like. (Mine on the right)

We had a spot of ice skating at the ice rink next to the Natural history museum - It was so beautiful there, it was surrounded by fairy lights and had such a calm and comfortable atmosphere. We tried our best to get some snaps amongst everyone whizzing by!

We took a Soho stroll and ended up at Busaba Eathai (A Thai restaurant)
After that with our stomachs well and truly full we set back for home and got ready for christmas day! I think it was my best Christmas Eve ever ^.^

Apologies again for this being posted in the new year but I hope you liked the photos!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!

FIVE GUYS

I just had to clarify why I'm still doing posts on food and more food, As you might have guessed, I have a deep love for food...and for life - and so after much deliberation I have decided to make my blog not only a fashion and makeup blog but also lifestyle!

That means the majority of what I blog will still be what it was before but I also want to share with you my daily photo diaries, places I travel to and also my thoughts on places i've been to eat and what I thought of them!

This post isn't a particularly fancy affair, its fast food as you can see, but I had been eyeing this 'Five guys' for a while and so Jason & I thought we'd give it a try.

For some reason it overall gave me the feeling of being in New york, The kitchen is very open-plan and you can see your order being hurriedly made (if you can work out which it is) - They work extremely fast and the place is buzzing with orders, customers, demands and people coming in and out. (This one was in Covent Garden)

The drink machines made me very excited, you order through a touchscreen menu and there are variations on most of the types of drinks, for example I had the vanilla diet coke and there were about 6/7 different flavours of it to choose from. We're not used to so much choice in England I tells ya!

It dosent look as appealing in photo form to be honest but I ordered the cajun style fries with a cheeseburger which had HP sauce, lettuce, grilled onions & pickles inside (You order which burger you want e.g hamburger/cheeseburger and then add ANY extras - they are all of no extra charge, you can go pretty nuts) Also I didn't realise the burgess come DOUBLE and are pretty huge!
- You can also order a 'Little' version of each burger which I also didn't realise before.

I couldn't even finish this, you get quite a lot but then it is more expensive than Mc D's so its good that you do - For a fast food burger I really enjoyed it and I really want to go back!

The Cajun fries were really yummy too and I'd now pick Five Guys over any other fast food chain when I want a burger and fries. Its quite heavy and obviously calorific but if you only have it once in a while its not going to hurt too much!

Jason on the other hand wasn't too taken by it and I don't think he'd recommend it as much as me, its always interesting to get different opinions - I actually forget what exactly his order was but it wasn't too far off of mine, there might have been some bacon involved?

Monster burgers, mountains of fries, whimsical drinks machines and a slight feeling of being in the US - I for one liked it!

p.s - They also serve bulk peanuts =o

(This is coffee nothing more haha, I bought a coffee maker that day!)

A few days after christmas we once again found ourselves in central London, This time we were in the Covent Garden area, I stopped by Space NK to pick up a new NARS Sheer glow foundation and as I stepped outside three lovely girls greeted me and said that they loved my channel which was so sweet of them!
Jason managed to snap these photos of the moment, My outfit that day wasn't really anything special, A usual 'trying to keep warm while trudging around London' look - I did get a little chilly though and should have brought a scarf!

BLUE ON BLUE

I had to take a moment to post about my recent nail varnish find / new obsession, Blue on blue from Topshop - A bright metallic shimmery blue which is eye-catching and gives an edgy finish for any outfit.

Black stone ring | Dead Native ring

The only thing I have to say first about this varnish is that the application isn't the best, Its quite a watery formula and so it took three coats for me to get this finish, BUT, once it is on its gorgeous so if you don't mind a longer drying time you should love it.

The lasting power is also fairly good, Varnishes chip super quick on me but this one did last a good few days.
I've had quite a few lovely comments on it since i've been wearing it and I think its a nice twist on the reds, greens and golds we tend to wear over christmas time - onto this fresh vibrant flash of blue metallic.

One of my favourite buys of the month for sure.

Let me know of any other Topshop varnishes you like? I always love having a look when I pop into Topshop, as I'm a massive nail varnish hoarder!

Breakfast at L'Eto Caffe'

The other week we found ourselves in Soho quite early before an errand Jason& I had to run. We hadn't eaten and wanted to find some type of Cafe to have a bite for breakfast.
We head to the breakfast club but saw that there was a rather lengthly queue and neither of us were patient enough to wait, so we walked around the corner and peered into L'Eto Caffe' which looked inviting and we took a seat.

The menu resides all around the walls of the caffe' aswell as on paper and the staff whizz over quickly to you, people are in and out reasonably frequently and I wouldn't say you'd have to wait too long for a seat. Its not the biggest place but is still quite comfortable and cozy-feeling when you're settled.

They had all sorts of breakfast food, Eggs, bacon, fruit, pastries, pancakes, smoothies, crepes, a selection of toppings on artisan toast (Which is what we went for) and they also had a few even healthier choices.
We started with an Orange juice for Jay and I created my own fresh juice of Orange, ginger, carrot & apple.

We played around with the camera while we waited for our order to come, as per usual!

Before too long our breakfast was on the table, Jason went for Eggs and bacon on toast/Eggs Benedict and I went for Salmon on Artisan bread with avocado - It was absolutely heavenly. I rarely go out for breakfast and so it was quite a treat and it was a good one let me tell you!
The Salmon tasted very fresh and the bread was light, wholesome and flavoursome, then along with the sauce - 10/10!

We left feeling happy, full and set for the day. The service was good, the staff were friendly and the food I couldn't fault.

I defiantly recommend L'Eto for Breakfast, I now need to go back for lunch! You know…just for reporting purposes ;)
