Effaclar Mat + Duo

Hey guys,
I have been loving two different products from La Roche-Posay recently and so I thought I would share and tell you why.
Firstly the Effaclar line from La Roche-Posay is designed for those with oilier skin or those who suffer from pesky breakouts.

I actually used the Effaclar Mat Moisturiser a few years ago and I liked the lightweight feel of it on my skin, also how it kept my face nice and matte during the day but I must have changed up my routine at the time and forgotten about it. I recently got it again, (I had noticed it had been reformulated too) I've been using it for around a month as my daily/morning moisturiser and i'm so glad i've rediscovered it.

The Effaclar Mat is great for my Oily-combo skin type, it keeps my T-zone from getting greasy atall during the day and is such a comfortable and light makeup base.
It has a very light and fresh scent which disappears quickly and it is also supposed to help with regulating the Sebaceous glands (Found mostly on the face & scalp) which can sometimes cause breakouts and acne if they over-producing. I have definatly noticed fewer breakouts since using it and this product will be an instant repurchase once i'm out!

The Effaclar Duo was brought to my attention whilst I was doing the rounds on Youtube and It is a very lightweight serum which you can use beneath your moisturiser, or as your makeup base and it helps to reduce breakouts and clear/'correct' the skin. I have been using this product for around a month and in the last week or so I definatly now feel like it has been effective on my skin (it does take skincare a little while to kick in alot of the time!)

The Duo has a very light fresh scent when applied which again disappears very quickly and this baby sinks into the skin like no other! It leaves my skin feeling beautifully hydrated and I love using this because I feel like its not just for one use - It is helping my skin to combat breakouts too. (It reminds me slightly of how the Caudalie SOS Thirst quenching serum felt - but is much cheaper!) I usually use this at nighttime and then i'll also apply my night cream or treatment on top.

I really do recommend both of these products, especially if you suffer from breakouts like me or have troublesome skin - My breakouts have really calmed down since i've been using them! They can be found in Boots (probably among other places) and both are around the £11-£13 mark

I hope this might have been helpful to some of you! Have any of you tried these products?

Let me know how you got on with them!

Sammi x
